Subsequent to this talk, Scott's company, Atlassian, has achieved the remarkable accomplishment of reaching $100 million in sales despite employing no sales people. Business of Software 2011 takes place in Boston - 24-26th October.  In software there is a golf, you can pretty much sell things under 10,000 dollars online, but once you need sales people involved you need to start, the pricing needs to go up. So, obviously, culture starts with hiring.
