Let’s not encourage people to go to extremes to assimilate – let’s try and encourage them to embrace their uniqueness while settling into a new culture – I agreed with you until you made that point. This isn’t just non-american accents, I recently read an article that a lot of people go to speech therapy to lose brooklyn or boston accents because they feel like there are certain stereotypes or stigmas attached to them.
