I know about COBRA but I’m more concern with the benefit side of it, not the insurance side. I work in the UK public sector, and my organisation is rigorous in applying equality and diversity law and good practice, which is excellent. My own employer didn’t bother to tell me they’d hired someone the day after I applied for an internal position. For the past 10 months, I’ve been interning at a nonprofit.
